The idea behind UT Coffean Font Duo started with a fascination for the coffee bean’s natural form. The coffee bean, with its soft curves, central crease, and rounded shape, embodies a sense of warmth, grounding, and familiarity. It’s a form that’s not only visually appealing but also resonates with an inviting, comfortable vibe the kind you feel when holding a freshly brewed cup of coffee.

To translate this organic shape into typography, each letter was designed to mimic the bean’s structure: rounded edges, smooth lines, and slight asymmetry. The goal was to create a typeface that felt approachable and warm, capturing the essence of the coffee bean’s natural charm. The coffee bean’s crease, for example, became a key feature in UT Coffean Sans, subtly embedded within certain letterforms to echo the inner contours of the bean. This attention to detail helped create a font that not only looked good but also felt genuine and thoughtful.
