About
Narma (نرما, Softness) represents the font family developed based on the proposed perso-arabic writing system. Its primary focus lies in enhancing the clarity and legibility of the resultant script.
The font styles in this family differ from traditional Arabic conjoint fonts, as all five font styles are disconnected. Additionally, the shapes of the capital (isolated) letters have been modified to achieve a more uniform appearance.
The narma LP (Less Point) denotes the dot-reduced version, wherein glyphs containing two or more dots are substituted with new dotless shapes. It is important to note that, with the exception of the narma regular style, all other styles utilize the reduced dots alphabet.
The narma MC (Mixed Case) mimics Latin fonts, allowing typists to select between lowercase (Initial) and uppercase (Isolated) letters using a software Caps Lock key. This software Caps Lock feature can be activated or deactivated by entering the Tatweel letter. more…
The last two styles are Small Caps (narma SC) and All Caps (narma AC) versions of this font family.
More related styles are available within the narm font family.
