After a series of updates to the Republica Minor family, enough changes were made that an entirely new family was born. Magna Lux keeps the overall feel of the legacy version, but many characters were completely redrawn. Those changes were incorporated into the rest of the font, giving it a refreshed, more consistent look. Uppercase characters are bold in stature with minimal negative space. Lowercase features an emphasis on clean curves and broad line weights with short ascenders and descenders.
