Kaman (کمان, Arch) represents the complementary font family to the kamangir, encompassing five distinct styles. The initial two styles, kaman regular, and kaman LP, are emblematic of traditional conjoint Arabic font styles. Notably, the structural layout of the capital (isolated) letters has been intentionally modified to ensure a more uniform and cohesive visual presentation.

The kaman LP (Less Point) denotes the only dot-reduced style in this font family, wherein glyphs containing two or more dots are substituted with new dotless shapes.

The kaman MC (Mixed Case) mimics Latin fonts, allowing typists to select between lowercase (Initial) and uppercase (Isolated) letters using a software Caps Lock key. This software Caps Lock feature can be activated or deactivated by hitting the Tatweel letter. more…
