About
During the 2000 American Presidential Election Fiasco, Jami from the True Type Resource held his first font contest, called Font Campaign 2000. My entry was this font, Elected Office. To be an entry, the font had to have a political theme, which explains the name. I liked it so much upon its creation, I decided I was use it for the very words “Tepid Monkey Fonts” in the site’s header graphics.
The font you’re looking at is actually Elected Office version two. Unfortunately the update did not occur until after the contest. It wasn’t much of an upgrade; I just corrected a few very minor design flaws (uppercase letter heights, the contrast in the letter s, et cetera).
Elected Office brought home thirteenth place from the font contest, by the way.
